Orbita Symposium
Munich 2023

Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

The specific anatomy with its spatial confines and close topographic vicinity to vital structures explains the special status of the orbit and its pathology within ophthalmology. Newly described clinical entities, improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and refined surgical techniques require constant updating and interdisciplinary discussion. In the field of new, non-surgical therapeutic approaches there is currently an enormous dynamic. This applies to Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) and other inflammatory orbital diseases as well as to the therapy of malignant neoplasms (keyword immunotherapy).

Renowned specialists from Ophthalmology, Radiology, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Otorhinolaryngology and Maxillofacial surgery will focus on defined orbital issues. The symposium addresses young and advanced colleagues of all involved disciplines. There will be time for Q&A and interactive discussions, and case presentations.

We cordially invite you to our 11th ORBITA SYMPOSIUM MUNICH 2023 – this year again organized on-site on November 23 – 24, 2023.

All members of our Plastic-Reconstructive Eyelid and Orbital Surgery unit at the University Eye Hospital LMU are looking forward to your participation and wish you an interesting symposium with stimulating discussions.
